Dreams Don’t Always Come True

I shut my eyes and drifted into sleep. I fell hopelessly into the mysterious clouds of a different world. Gazing directly ahead of me, I saw a sight that caused my blood to freeze. Its bloodshot eyes were staring at me; its grunting made my eardrums close to bursting. From where I was standing, I had at least a few seconds to run from the mighty beast that clearly wanted me for its dinner. Running as fast as I could, I nearly tripped and fell on the hard, gravel path. The creature’s gigantic footsteps made the solid ground vibrate. Instantaneously I came to a halt. The ground lay still. I looked behind me, and the creature had disappeared from my sight.

Desperately, I collapsed to the floor, wanting to get my breath back. I tried to drag myself along the concrete, but there was no hope. My knees were cut and bruised and were dripping with blood. Finally, I stood up and I wandered around hopelessly wondering if anyone would find me. The cold breeze was hitting my neck, and it sent a shiver down my spine. I started to feel dizzy. I kept rocking back and forth, and my eyes kept shutting. Then, my limp body shrunk to the floor, unconscious.

As I  began to stir, I hear the growing grunting of the monstrous beast.

“Stop,” I bellowed at the creature, “it’s not fair. Go away!”

He was approaching closer, and the closer he got the more I screamed. I couldn’t run or hide because my body was too weak. A black cloud of fear swallowed me up and I began to fall down, down, down.

I awoke with a start in my bed, covered in sweat. My head started to ache. I remembered everything. The monster from my dreams, I’ve seen him before. When I was little, we used to go on adventures and play games. Why would he want to hurt me now?

I fell back into my deep sleep. I need to find him I kept telling myself. I ventured around the threatening, obscure forest. As the trees start closing in, a feeling of claustrophobia surrounds my body. The bushes started to rustle. I turned my head, and there he was, my enemy. I was so close to his face, that I could smell the flesh and blood of his last prey. His gnashing, razor teeth were so sharp, I thought they were steak knives. His deep breathing was hitting my face. He hoisted himself up, and exposed himself. I went bright red in the face. We stared at each other for a few minutes. He stomped his foot with fury and snarled at me with hatred. I paced through the forest, or what I think of it as “The Death Trap”.

“Why?” I bark, “Why do you hate me?”

His giant hand reached out for me.

“No!” I scream, as I jump out of bed.

It was all a dream.

The Spy School

There it was … Marcold Manor: the mysterious boarding school mum and dad had paid a ridiculously expensive fee for .My brother, Gerry, shivered and lovingly hugged his dirty teddy bear as the towering building cast its gloomy shadow over us. From a glistening, clean window I could see two narrow evil eyes. Sweat covered my wrists .Me and Gerry walked inside the spooky manor, the wide open doors closing behind us with a creak.

All around us busy children and adults, wearing tight, black clothes talked quietly to each other .A group of girls stood over a crinkled piece of paper covered in strange letters and numbers. Instantaneously, three masked children popped out of nowhere, clinging to slopes of rope. We clumsily stumbled into a rusty elevator the weight of our heavy bags sending shots of pain into my hands .In a moment’s notice, the elevator sped up, finally stopping at an office. There was a tall lady standing near the window. She had a label that had Mrs Vulture: deputy headmistress written on it. She turned around and bellowed, “Welcome to Marcold Manor, the best spy school in the country.”

Shock hit me like a lightning bolt. I couldn’t believe that mum and dad had sent me to a spy school .I tried to clear my mind. Gerry was trembling behind me, obviously scared of the mean looking deputy head. We walked slowly over to the door. I noticed a glass cupboard containing an immaculately covered chest. Suddenly, out of nowhere the lights went out. Darkness engulfed me .All I could see was pitch black darkness. I could hear a blaring siren and desperate voices screaming for help. Crash! The intruders were here .Mrs Vulture shouted “Keep calm! “I could hear glass being smashed. Gerry was wailing for help. The intruders were trying to steal whatever was inside the chest. I stumbled around, trying to find Gerry. Tears stained my face .I was stuck in this strange school in the darkness with attackers around me.

To my relief, the lights appeared back, revealing three people wearing masks with the chest in their hands. Quickly I ran to Gerry who was cowering in the corner frightened and shaking. Mrs Vulture had already tied up the wicked thieves and restored the chest to its rightful place. Standing near the door was a smart lady with a slight smile on her face .The rest of her face was covered up by a mask. Only her sparkling sapphire-blue eyes were visible. “Are you ok?” asked the lady. Me and Gerry nodded silently. “Headmistress, the mastermind has sent these attackers to steal the Melostone: the most powerful stone in the world, “informed Mrs Vulture after finding out this information from the helpless attackers. The mastermind was a super villain who was incredibly wicked and wanted to destroy and demolish Marcold Manor .Even though this was a disturbing concept, I was sure that I would settle into this strange spy school.

Fury of the Creature

Deep in the dark, damp forest was a hidden, but large haunted house. It petrified all the nearby by villagers, except one boy who was as brave as a knight in shining armour! One day this courageous boy, Tom, strolled confidently down the hill towards the gigantic, hidden house, as the sun set behind him. Instantaneously, bright lightning flickered and flashed all over the place. Quickly, Tom broke into a sprint. As he pushed open the huge, wooden front door, he heard the scattering of feet along the dirty, crooked rotten floor boards. "Where could that noise come from?" he thought; a frown developing across his forehead as he stared at the crumpled, peeling wall paper. All of a sudden, Tom heard the door creek loudly behind him, then slam shut.

He then slowly, but quietly, tip toed to the rusty door. As he turned around, bright red blood glistened in the moonlight. He could even hear what sounded like a tap dripping constantly above him. His heart pounded as fast in his chest. He saw a disturbing shadow, which was as black as coal, which reflected off the peeling wall papered walls.

Suddenly, a green horrible creature slowly approached Tom. "I'm hungry!" groaned the mysterious beast. Its skin was as scaly as a dragon.  This frightening beast had deep, blue bulging eyes. It was solid like a giant boulder, and had long tusks protruding from its face. Its ginormous fangs hanged down it's slimy gooey gums like knifes in a butchers. This beast was the size of an elephant. It even had sharp dagger like claws which could claw anything that gets in its way. Bravely, Tom let out a loud roar and frightened the menacing beast away. Tom was delighted to scare the creature away. He had never felt so terrific in is life.

As Tom tried to hurry out of the gigantic house, he couldn't remember where the huge door was. He pushed everywhere but still he had no luck. "Finally," he shouted as he pushed himself out of the haunted building. He couldn't believe what he had done. However, Tom couldn't see anything because clouds of smokey mist obstructed his view. He felt so angry now that he wanted to get home. All of a sudden brown straw like hair grew on Tom! Long sharp teeth hung down his thick gums! Giant black eyes, as dark as space, grew on his face. He had beastly enormous tusks. He roared and roared but nobody was around. The whole place echoed loudly. He sobbed and sobbed and tears ran down his fury face. What could he do?
