Home Learning
Home learning is set for children from Reception to Year 5. Children are set a range of different challenges from a variety of different curriculum areas. Home learning themes often link to national or world celebration events. Home learning is not compulsory but it is recommended.
Children are rewarded for the effort they put into their home learning and will receive yellow tokens for their allocated house.
Pupil’s home learning is often displayed and celebrated within the class and sometimes assemblies. Teachers will provide a courtesy mark in the books which will be returned with the next home learning sheet.
Pupils in year six are set home learning in preparation for secondary school. They are guided through and expected to manage weekly tasks in English and maths.
