Beliefs in Action

In year 6, we discussed the term ‘belief’ and in particular what belief means across a number of religions.

So that we could cover many of the key religions, we split into groups and learnt about belief in one religion. Each group then created a poster with key information on it that we had learnt from a resource sheet and discussions. Finally, each group elected two speakers to share what they had learnt and reported back to the rest of the group.

The religions we looked at were as follows:

Humanism

Judaism

Sikhism

Islam

Hinduism

Buddhism

 After the short presentation, we discussed what was similar and what was different the religions.
