Reading Resources for Remote Learning

Here, we have outlined reading resources that we would like your child to access if they are required to self-isolate or if your child’s bubble or the school is required to close due to the coronavirus pandemic. Please scroll down to the relevant year group.

We strongly recommend signing up to the Cambridgeshire Library Services so that you are able to access a wide variety of titles electronically and for free but I have also included links to picture books, or extracts of chapter books for older pupils, which will benefit your child’s progress in reading, if they cannot access their own copies of books. Unfortunately, many websites have now retracted the free access they offered when schools first closed.

You can sign up to Cambridgeshire Library Services online offering at https://cambridgeshire.rbdigitalglobal.com/.

You will need a library card number to access this service – you can register at https://cambridgeshire.spydus.co.uk/cgi-bin/spydus.exe/MSGTRN/WPAC/BRWREG

These links have also been added to the pupils’ seesaw activities. We strongly advise that pupils are supervised when accessing these links on the internet and ask that no material we share on Seesaw is copied and/or distributed to those outside of school.

If your child usually accesses the AR system they can check to see if there is a quiz they can take (using their log-in details) at: https://ukhosted25.renlearn.co.uk/2233472/ once they have finished a book.

If you do want further advice regarding reading material, or need login details, please use the class email to contact your child’s teacher.
