Junior Savers Club
Kings Hedges Educational Federation have a Junior Savers club in partnership with Cambridge Rainbow Savers which has been running since January 2016.
All the children in the primary school have the opportunity to be enrolled in the junior saver scheme with some major benefits. To encourage young savers to start saving, Cambridge City Council have offered to open the account with £5. Interest payable to junior savers is currently 2% per annum and Rainbow Savers has held this interest rate steady for 5 years to ensure that young people learn about the benefits of saving for the future.
Cambridge Rainbow Savers is part of Rainbow Saver Anglia Credit Union Ltd which is regulated and authorised by the Prudential Regulatory Authority and Financial Conduct Authority. Deposits are protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme, so you can be sure the money is safe. You can find out more about them at www.rainbowsaver.co.uk.
Please support this initiative and help your child get into the savings habit early in life. Your child can pay cash and cheques into their savings account every fortnight on a Thursday morning at the school between 8.20am-8.45am. If you would like your child to be part of this great scheme, please complete and return the application form below. To encourage the children to save, the money needs to be match funded and can’t be withdrawn until July 2017.
The first opportunity to add to the savings account will be on Thursday 12th January and every two weeks thereafter, see dates below. You will be also able to refer to the school newsletter for future dates. Please be advised that the application form needs to be returned along with any payment in order for your child’s account to be set up.
Please click here for an application form and return with your deposit to Mrs Andrews in the School Office.
