International Links

At Kings Hedges School we currently have an International Link School which is Larbec Academy in Ghana.

Year 4 skyped  after Christmas. They learned the national anthem and sang it to the children in Ghana and also talked about what they did in the Christmas holidays.

Year 4 spent the first few weeks of term learning about Ghana as we are linked with Larbec International Academy.

To start the link this year we skyped the children in Ghana. Children from both schools prepared questions to ask each. The Ghanaian children sang their national anthem to us and we were all amazed by their enthusiasm, we are learning our national anthem so that we can sing it to them next time we Skype.

To keep communications going between Skype conversations, the year 4 children have made postcards.

The children at Larbec Academy sent us a PowerPoint that they had made to tell us all about their school and culture. We had a look at the PowerPoint throughout the school. 

Panda’s class have made a PowerPoint that we sent to Larbec Academy pupils to answer all of their questions and to tell them all about our school and culture.

We contacted the school by Skype. The children enjoyed asking each other questions about their lives in their country.

We look forward to speaking to the children at Larbec Academy again and all of the projects that we will share.
