Change to Board of Governors
Dear Parents and Carers
I am writing to you to inform you of changes to the school Board of Governors. Ben Slade has recently resigned as Chair of Governors. He took on the role when there was an urgent need and has made a major contribution to the School. Since then, he has moved home, much further away from Cambridge, and has new commitments. As a result, he does not feel able to give the time that he thinks is needed for the role. King’s Hedges Educational Federation owes a lot to him and I would like to record our great thanks to him.
As was the case at the time of Mr Slade’s appointment, none of the other governors felt able to take on the role of Chair. They have therefore asked me to do so, and I have agreed. I was duly appointed last month. I was previously Chair of Governors for eight years ending in September 2014, and I have a very high opinion of the School and its senior team. I look forward to working with them and to being part of the school’s governance team again.
